The Master of Civil and Environmental Engineering (M.C.E.E.) is a professional non-thesis degree, requiring 30 credit hours of approved courses at the 500-level or above, including a final project of 2 credit hours. Students who have a BA or BS degree in any field of engineering or related study may apply.
The General Announcements (GA) is the official Rice curriculum: MCEE GA/ MCEE GA. In the event that there is a discrepancy between the GA and any other websites or publications, the GA shall prevail as the authoritative source.
This degree has two areas of specialization:
Fall admission—September 1 - January 15
Spring Admission—September 1 - October 15
